Japan

Today we followed the story of the earthquake in Japan.  My students learned how to search twitter using hashtags; we watched the Disasters in Real Time map at  http://hisz.rsoe.hu/alertmap. ; /   we looked at international reporting on different news sites: CBC, Al Jazeera, BBC.   Students followed news in realtime on Google and visited YouTube.  They clicked on images and followed interesting threads.  Voices of discovery filled the lab.  It was a true 21st century learning experience.

We were awed and saddened by what has happened.  Class 62 sends its thoughts and prayers to all those affected by this disaster.
