Allow Students to Plan Their Own Learning

Here is a sample of a Time Planning Sheet that students use once units are  under way.  Students retrieve their sheets from their Next Step Folders.  They then review current goals and plan work time.  Of course, if  direct instruction or a small group lesson is needed, that is scheduled in. Students are free to choose their own work spaces, to go to the computer lab as necessary, to take a little break before beginning a new task.
