Hi Ian,
As we begin the process of cropping and resizing our pictures how would you like them organized? Should we create one file folder for each student and just store them for now?
We will send a set of test photos to ensure that we're photo shopping correctly.

Hi Class 62,
ReplyDeleteI've created a wiki for you to collaborate on. Here's a post on how to resize and crop - it'll make even *more* sense when Hannah comes in to demonstrate. Before she comes in, Mrs Siwak can talk about things like proportion and ratio in math and why they're so important for our photographs in this app. :D

I don't really mind how you organize your photos. It's probably better for you to have a folder per location, and save the images in each folder. That way it's easier to spot if you've forgotten to make one. What is *REALLY* important though is the filename. Computers are awfully picky creatures about things like spelling - it's very important to have some rules about the names of the photos so that the app can find them. If you even make mistake by having an uppercase letter instead of a lowercase letter in one file and not in the other matching ones, the iPhone will be unable to load the image. Remember, they're not very smart little boxes.
Send me some a few test files and I'll also document what kind of things we need to include in the resized photos on the wiki.
I'm looking forward to seeing some photos of Dundas.
